Our Social Services Department is always looking out for the residents' needs. Their first priority is putting the resident first. Easily approachable, our department is eager to assist residents, their families, and friends. Social Services, along with the rest of Riverview's family, strives to be the resident's advocate at all times. We are so proud of the consistently excellent care provided for Riverview's residents, including our award-winning Social Services department. Virginia Haman, Riverview's Social Services Designee, was named the recipient of the "South Dakota Health Care Association's 2008 Social Services Award." Riverview is honored to have Virginia as an advocate and friend for our residents, and we celebrate her achievement! |

Tasty and nutritious home-style meals are prepared by Riverview's versatile dietary department. We understand that proper nutrition is absolutely essential to optimal resident health. Thus, our innovative five meal-a-day program ensures that residents maintain a proper nutritional balance. This program has recently gained recognition; our certified dietary manager, Sharon Grafing, showcased our dietary plan at the 1999 South Dakota State Health Care Association Convention. With the coupling of home-style comfort and sound nutritional guidelines, our residents enjoy each mealtime. Their feedback is essential to our program -- resident choice in foods is the rule, not the exception. |
