Men's Night 2011

This July, Riverview held our annual Men's Night with a hearty meal and plenty of hearty laughs.
Savoring a dinner of all-you-can-eat ribs, potato salad, beans, and beer, the residents and their families, friends, and volunteers all enjoyed a delicious and delightfully messy meal.

The Crevier's Spintastic Show

Not to leave out the fabulous ladies of Riverview, they were invited for ice cream sundae desserts and the true cherry of the evening, a "Spin-tacular Basketball Show" by 5-time Guinness World Record holder Bruce Crevier and his family. With wife Dianne and eight of their children, the residents and their guests were entertained and undeniably impressed with the level of showmanship and skill seen in the Creviers' spinning, dribbling, juggling, and even uni-cycling!

In addition to sharing their uplifting message of faith and perseverance, the Creviers also shared the spotlight - as audience participation was key throughout the show. Many a finger got to balance a spinning ball, but the talented Creviers made sure that none spun out of control!

Given such talent, it's not often that the Creviers "drop the ball," but if they do - they always chase it and start again. When talent and tenacity combine, you get spin-tacular, awesome results, both on the court and off!
Above: Ordy Kirby tries her hand (and finger) on the spin, while Riverview founder LouElla Nace works the Double Spin! At 97, she's still got it!
