Enjoying Happy Faces
Our residents have truly enjoyed the numerous visits from Flandreau's Happy Face Place Daycare this summer. From hot dog grillin' parties to ice cream socials, reading sessions to crafts - our patio parties have bridged the generational gap in a spirit of summer fun and playful joy. Riverview's residents extend a giant "thank you" to the wonderful rays of sunshine - both the kids and staff - at Happy Face Place! Thanks for keeping our spirits sunny and our hearts young! |

| An Afternoon at the "Riverview Spa"
Many of Riverview's residents enjoyed an afternoon of pampering during our recent Spa Day. From eucalyptus foot baths to massage (hands, feet, and backs all received the royal treatment), our residents savored their special treatments in an aura of relaxation and luxury. This was definitely a "spa" worth visiting again! |

Exciting the Tastebuds: Riverview's Summer Artichoke Party
Proving it's never too late to try something new, Riverview's culinarily adventurous residents recently enjoyed the unique flavor of specially-prepared artichokes. For some, it was a completely new tasting experience; for others, it was a special treat of a long-loved delicacy. We certainly have some discerning gourmets at Riverview! |

| The quilt, made and donated by Nicole Nelson, was part of the June 17th fund-raising benefit held for Riverview staff member and friend Dom Pisawis, who is battling recurrence of adenoid cystic carcinoma with treatments at Mayo Clinic. The outpouring of support for Dom during Riverview's benefit spaghetti feed, bake sale, and quilt raffle once again highlighted the compassion and generosity of the Flandreau community. Over 100 spaghetti dinners were served, and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans provided additional support. Please continue to keep Dom and his family in your thoughts and prayers. | |
